About Me

I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. A beautiful nation located in the tropical region of South America. Given the nation's turmoil in the economic and political fronts, I have been passionate about the study of economics from  a young age. Needing to find answers and solutions to the current problems of my country and those around the globe, I enrolled in the school of Business Administration at Kent State University, majoring in Economics. College expanded my horizons to multiple aspects of the world and why certain situations develop in such ways. I began to understand why my beloved country was going through such struggles and what could be done to help it improve. Nevertheless, once my undergraduate studies were culminating, I realized that there was a missing link in my knowledge orb. In order to take care of this situation, attaining an MBA in the same institution was the appropriate career choice. Studies in the MBA program, at Kent State University, allowed me to have a better scope of the markets and embrace a variety of new topics that any manager and consultant must have at their disposition. Moreover, the interaction with faculty members and my mentor helped me solidify my goals and career aspirations.

The global markets, led by macroeconomic events and trends, are my main area of interest given their effect on the economies and financial well-being of every nation. I strive to understand these events and interpret them in order to have an idea of what may happen next. Being able to "read between the lines" is where the true value of the mind is, which is how to critically think. As Socrates said, "I know that I know nothing". My desire to constantly learn joined by my love for economics and passion for finance have inspired me to seek a job in an industry where I can combine these aspects and more. Areas such as sales, private equity, banking, and asset-trading greatly interest me, as they are ever-present and play a key role in the global economy. Coming from a nation with the largest oil reserves in the world, naturally sparked a curiosity for this resource and its broad uses in the markets. Therefore, the energy sectors as well as commodities trading are also among my areas of interest for a future career path. On top of this, my college career and extracurricular activities helped me understand that problem-solving and dynamism are some of my strongest skills, making the consulting field one of interest as well because that is where theory and practice come together to provide the most efficient solutions.   

I have a lot of goals in my mind that I have constantly worked towards. Leaving my family and friends in order to attain a better future was one of them, and it is almost fully accomplished. Merging in the job market and making a name for myself is next. I strongly believe that with my passion and desire to prove myself and help my team, this will be accomplished. A long-term goal is to start a non-profit organization to help the underprivileged youth develop financial literacy and achieve more in life. A lot of citizens are not aware of the opportunities that the world can provide and I want to serve as a liaison to connect them with said chances.
